Many hydroponic users will use a field pH probe for their pH monitoring and control. Field probes are commonly found on portable meters and have a plastic body that is more durable than glass ones used in a lab.

Milwaukee offers an industrial pH probe that is not that much more than a field probe. It is made for continuous use in a process environment. We currently have a promo in which for every probe purchased we will supply 10 each of pH 7 and 4 buffer packets.
