As only God can do, my church Franklin Heights Church started a planned series titled “Renew the Church” with the goal of helping the church thrive in reaching our community. How fitting given the recent events that have taken place around our nation and the apparent brokenness we are experiencing as Christians. With this in mind we have decided to offer a time of prayer tomorrow morning(Monday) at 6:45am. This will take place in the parking lot of City Electric in Westlake. This time will be open to all who want the opportunity to start the work week with community in prayer. If we want change and revival in our country it will start on a personal level, we believe the fire has been lit, let’s make sure together to not let it go out….

WE WILL NEVER FORGET… 24 years ago a tragic event took place that would be remembered for generations. The terrorist attack of 9/11 was not just 2 buildings falling; Lives were taken, familys were broken. We want to thank all the firefighters, police officers, and every civilians who risked their life to save others. As you think of this event today say a prayer for the family’s who are forced to go another day without their loved one by their side.

Today we lost of man who was filled with the desire to reach the hearts of those around him. To preach truth when deception is surrounding us. He was a man of action, who wanted to see change in this nation, to watch the youth rise, and to see hearts transform! Charlie was not just an ordinary man. He was a legend. Everyone has the right to their own opinion, which is what Charlie fought for. But there is no place is our society for actions like we saw today or the justification/glorification of these actions. We take comfort in knowing that he is standing before our heavenly Father being told, “Well done my good and faithful servant.” Continue to pray for his wife, children, loved ones, and our nation!
