In 2005, Wade Designs Jewelry was established by John and Rita Wade. John and Rita dreamed of offering fine jewelry, hand engraving, and custom designed jewelry to customers through a retail store. Wade Designs Jewelry was such a success that in the summer of 2009, John and Rita expanded Wade Designs Jewelry to open Bliss Fine Papers & Gifts. The Story of the Toggle: Years ago John had given Rita a beautiful pearl necklace, the only problem was how hard it was to put on. She mentioned that she would wear it more often if there was a more functional clasp on it. That’s when the brainstorming and flipping through jewelry catalogs began. They came across a plain clunky- looking sterling silver toggle…functional but not very pretty. That’s when John decided to make his own toggle to which he added stones and hand engraving.
