If you ever wonder what fundraising goes towards as far as STEP, this is part of it. Every competition costs to get into. Sometimes it’s only $10 each and other times it goes all the way up to $25-$40 a piece.
So fundraising helps cover the costs of these things, as well as bus rides if needed, costumes, hotel expenses, food, gas, etc
We appreciate all your help, the FIRM team is close to their goal and Eli is close to meeting his $300 needed between the popcorn sales and the jewelry sales.
We appreciate you all, and James even ordered some popcorn too to help us get closer to the goal we need.
If you have claimed items please make sure you get invoices taken care of by tonight as we have to turn in funds tomorrow

Just a reminder Eli’s fundraiser has started. I will also be posting plunder for sale tomorrow- bundles super cheap, boutique close out- sadly we will be closing the boutique for good( thank you all for the support over the last few months but it was way more than I could do with the kids schedule and trying to keep up the accounting), and we will also have a special on our BLDesigns line for Black history month.
Thank you for the support this far

Is there anyone on my friends list who has a business, small business included who would like to donate to a fundraiser opportunity? Shout outs on social media, and blog posts.
I know this is asking a lot especially right here at Christmas time, but James and I have talked and there is just no way we think we can physically make this happen for Eli.
We don’t feel comfortable sending him to Georgia on his own and letting him bunk in a room by himself with his team, he takes meds to sleep at night, there will be parent chaperones but I don’t think in the rooms with the kids, and he also has to sleep with music on and can’t sleep without rocking.
The bus ride alone for the team is $3600. We are splitting the cost with another team and doing a team wide plate sale to fund the rest of the bus cost.
But here is where we need help directly- apparently we are staying in Athens, GA which is downtown home of the bulldogs and they not only have the STEP competition which is a huge one- 38+ teams just in the elementary division but there is also a major game. So hotels have jacked up the prices. We aren’t even sure we will be able to stay in the same hotel as the team because there are a limit amount of rooms. Anyway- it’s $600 for the hotel stay and that doesn’t include tickets to get in and food. We leave Friday morning and the competition ends Saturday night about 7pm so we are forced to stay another night because it isn’t doable to drive overnight with 2 kids, and if Eli wants to ride the bus back- it wouldn’t leave till Sunday morning.
Anyway so if you know anyone who has resources to help with this kind of thing, or you would like to donate please let me know you can message me or comment. We will do cash app, or Venmo and you will make a note of Eli fundraising Georgia STEP Trip or if that won’t all fit just something similar.
We are going to 100% do what we can on our end to make this happen for him. I don’t want him to be the only one who doesn’t go. I will also be making bracelets and jewelry to sell and all those funds will go towards the trip. We will clearence out any remaining inventory of clothes I have too from the boutique.
You guys would be making a little boys dream come true and before I hear judgement- this was not on our original schedule it was added. We have just found out about it 1-2 weeks ago. STEP for the Year was supposed to be max out of pocket 💲5️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ for the year. We have done the calendar fundraiser and that did well- that helped cover his expenses of the first few shows, competitions, costumes, and tap shoes we are forever grateful for that. Please also know if you donate and we aren’t able to go all the funds will be used towards his trip to VA in March.

Look how beautiful my aunt Roseann is in this beautiful tourmaline set I made.
This is genuine tourmaline in the different shade ranges it comes in from greens, to pinks, and lastly grays. It’s set in a stainless steel plated in 18kt gold necklace.
The earrings are handmade wire wrapped in 18kt plated wire and the findings are also stainless steel plated in 18kt too.
Quality is 100% paid attention to here and my goal, as well as attention to detail. I want these pieces to last you a lifetime.

Well we can add jewelry repair to the list lol- I always like to accept challenges that I am not sure if I can achieve or not.
Well we did it and they turned out amazing. The spider the pin on the back was broken. I didn’t have another long pin and couldn’t find one to replace that one, so we improvised and made it work with a smaller circle pin and glued it to that.
The hoops were a complete redo. I got some gold plated hoops and used some gold wood beads, and we made them look amazing. And yes they are still lightweight.
So if you have something that needs fixed you can message me. Have an open mind as I might not be able to fix it, but I will surely try.

It’s all in the details- we made this necklace for my sweet bestie. She was scared to wear it because of the weight, even though we made sure to use wire that would hold up to 26lbs, and high quality findings.
So instead we threaded it onto a 18kt gold plated chain, and added silicone filled spacer beads to the ends to finish it off. I didn’t stop there though- I changed out the clasps to add the original one we had on the necklace, and added a cute extender with another little heart. Hearts and butterflies are her favorite.
I’m so glad she insisted on having it more sturdy because all beaded necklaces like this going forward will be done the same way. It is so much sturdier, and just looks so much better with these finishes.
Jewelry making is an art and you learn and grow as you go. This was an amazing learning experience with an awesome outcome

How surreal is this, for the longest time I can remember making jewelry. I was a nanny and had a lot of time on my hands at naps.
It was a hobby and I only made jewelry as gifts. But every gift I made was treasured even if it wasn’t that great.
My mom would come with me to Lazy days craft fair in Cary my first year as a nanny and after that I was inspired. Goodness I wish I had pictures of some of those earlier pieces.
I do know I have one set I made for my mama, it was out of peacock freshwater pearls. Absolutely stunning and she loved it. When she got sick, she gave it back to me so I could always have it.
I can’t wait to bring you guys along as we make this a bit more professional. Here is the start of my business cards.
Not sure if I will keep it plan on the front like this and have my info on the back or put it all on the front
