Loving this home tour gift from . Our hallway is lined with watercolor paintings of the previous homes that we have renovated and lived in. Thankful for my talented friend who has painted each one of them.

Side note: Michele and I first met when she had the most adorable store in downtown Rockwall. She orchestrates the Rockwall Holiday Home Tour along with her team (Debbie Knight). You know the tour is going to be good because Michele is running it! Thankful for all of her work and the contribution she has to made to biggest fundraiser.

Being on the home tour took a village and I’m so thankful my village is made up of the most amazing people!

where do I start?! From letting us borrow some of her amazing Christmas decor to helping me set up my Christmas tree in October, and so much more! Not only is she a very talented designer and decorator, but her home has been on the tour two previous times. She was there to help every step of the way. Thank you Steph! Decorating with you is so much fun. And like we said “a tree fluffed by two is better than one!” 😂. Love you friend!

And it would not be possible without the amazing group of friends that volunteered their weekend to help host our home - and Brooke. These ladies were so welcoming and loving as they stood on their feet all day with a smile. They love me so well and I could not be more grateful for them.

So yeah, like I said…it takes a village!

A little before and after of one of our previous homes! We had fun gutting this home down to the studs and redesigning the floor plan. Before renovations it was a 3 bedroom, 2 bath and after renovations it was a 4 bedroom, 2 bath. We also added a laundry room and pantry.

We thought we would do a little intro post! We are Charlie and Ginni. We live in the Dallas area and one of our passions is homes! We have grown to enjoy real estate, renovations and interior design over the years as we have renovated our homes. After living in an apartment our first year of marriage we were ready to buy our first home. It was mostly cosmetic renovations with a couple of bigger projects thrown in. After two years we moved onto a home that needed a little more work - let's just say the entire kitchen was lime green when we bought it! Again after two years we moved on to this funky little 1940's house, taking it down to the studs and reconfiguring the floor plan to provide the best use of the space. Two years later we found our current house, an 1880's folk Victorian historic home on the market and we knew we couldn't pass up the opportunity to renovate/restore it. We have grown to love restoring the old while modernizing the home as well. Mother-in-law suite is coming along!

Where it all started. My parents bought this house 34 years ago, their first home, where they brought all their babies home, many birthday breakfasts', holiday celebrations, milestones celebrated, and so much more. Today they are moving out and onto a new "home" chapter of their lives. Thankful for these people and the memories we will continue to make no matter where we are.
