Now, more than ever, it's critical for organizations and individuals to understand the risks they face in an ever-increasing digital world and how they can safeguard themselves.
As we continue through this year's , we strive to educate and raise awareness around cybersecurity issues, especially ones currently affecting small businesses (SMBs).
Discussing this topic with our Chief Information Security Officer, Michael Soepnel, stated, "Awareness and education around cyber threats is the most effective way to counter them."
There are several concerns for SMBs when it comes to cyber-attacks. Soepnel added that one they see frequently is a "Widespread compromise of email accounts, which are then used to send thousands of malicious emails to the organization's clients and partners.
To ensure they're safeguarded, organizations must consider the use of email link sandbox tools, enhanced monitoring of user activity for risk factors, and a robust staff training and awareness program to ensure they are safeguarded against detrimental cyber attacks."
Protect your organization and its people from avoidable cyber attacks. Reach out to OSIbeyond to learn more about how we can help.
