It's the top of the 8th inning for the Highlands High School Baseball & Softball Field Improvements project. Softball turf is in, baseball turf is 50% complete. Completion of the site paving, landscaping, and shade canopy fabric installation will mean we will be ready to play some fall baseball.

Rain has slow us down a little but we are well underway on the new baseball & softball field improvement project at Highlands High School.
It will be one of only a handful of 100% artificial surfaced baseball and softball fields in Northern California. Go Scots!

A great crowd came out to celebrate the ground breaking of the new baseball & softball complex at Highlands High School, North Highlands, CA. These fields will be some of the first artificial turf surfaced baseball & softball fields on a high school campus in Northern California. Truly a field of dreams. We are happy to be part of the team. Go SCOTS!

Harrington Design Associates made a good showing at the AIA Conference last week. Lots of new products and design opportunities for use in our school and public facilities projects.
Favorite AIA Conference Session had to be "Neuroaesthetics: Revolutionizing Learning Inside & Outside of the Classroom" ... more about that later.

Project Update: Westside Preparatory Charter School Addition to Regency Park Elementary School.
Modular buildings are set, underground utility connections are in process. Concrete paving to begin next week.

We support our K-12 Public Education clients on a large variety of project types... this summer we going to be very busy replacing aging HVAC units, failing roofs, and replacing a significant amount concrete and asphalt paving improving the accessibility of several school sites.

About half of the modular classroom buildings have arrived from Perris, CA. Site work and modular building foundations are in moving very quickly to get ready for concrete next week. Lots of action on the job site.

Construction has begun on the Westside Preparatory Charter School addition to the Regency Park Elementary School Campus in North Natomas, CA. We are happy to be part of the expansion of the Charter School program within Twin River Unified School District.
