We are excited to welcome Erica Burgess as the new ✨President✨ of ReCreate's Board of Directors! Since joining the board, Erica has brought thoughtful insights, enthusiasm for our mission, and a strong commitment to ReCreate's future.

Erica is a 3D Production Manager at Apple, where she leads the development and ex*****on of large-scale retail experiences for Apple stores around the world. With more than 15 years of experience in retail design, visual merchandising, creative direction, and customer experience leadership, she brings a wealth of expertise in strategic planning, project management, and creating engaging environments that inspire curiosity and connection.

A longtime supporter of ReCreate, Erica has attended programs with her children for many years, taught a popular bullet journaling workshop in our studio, and serves as an art docent at Stoneridge Elementary. She is passionate about accessible arts education, creative reuse, and building vibrant community spaces where creativity can thrive.

As Board President, Erica is excited to help ReCreate continue its growth, strengthen the customer experience, support visual merchandising initiatives, and foster a positive and collaborative culture for staff, volunteers, and the community.

We're Hiring: Assistant Manager

ReCreate is seeking a part-time Assistant Manager to help support daily operations across our creative reuse store, maker studio, educational programs, and community events.

We're looking for someone who enjoys leadership, customer service, problem-solving, and helping things run smoothly.

Responsibilities include:
• Supporting store and studio operations
• Leading shifts and providing team support
• Assisting customers, volunteers, and donors
• Supporting workshops, camps, and community events
• Helping create a welcoming and organized environment

📍 Rocklin, CA
💰 $23–$25/hour depending on experience
⏰ Approximately 20–30 hours per week, including evenings and weekends

Meet the makers, artists, educators, and creative makers who will be leading our Summer Maker Camp this year! 🎨🧵🔬

From sewing and crafting to science experiments and creative reuse challenges, our team is busy preparing an amazing week of making, learning, and fun for campers.
