RRUFF Healing Heroes is dedicated to serving disabled veterans, first responders & the canine community.

Rocklin Residents Unite for Fido was founded for the purpose of providing a safe, enclosed environment for Rocklin area dog owners and their companion animals. Today, RRUFF continues to be an advocacy group working closely with the City of Rocklin to continue having a place where dogs and their owners can play and enjoy fun experiences.

$11,500+ raised.

7 Hero and Dog teams funded this year.
An entire community showing up for Veterans and First Responders.

We are still taking it all in.

Big Day of Giving is always special, but this year felt different. From first-time donors, to familiar faces, to everyone who attended Paw Prints & Pledges, shared a post, or encouraged someone else to give, this community showed up in a big way.

Because of you, more Heroes in the Greater Sacramento Region will have access to life-changing support through service dogs and healing programs.

There is something really powerful about watching people come together around a mission rooted in hope, healing, and connection.

From all of us at RRUFF, thank you for believing in this work and helping us continue changing lives, one Hero and one Dog at a time ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿพ This is what support really looks like

For Katie, an ambulatory wheelchair user and first responder, her service dog Magic helps in more ways than one

From providing grounding support for PTSD to assisting with everyday tasks like:

Picking up dropped items
Helping her in and out of chairs
Pushing elevator buttons

These are not small things

They restore independence, confidence, and safety in daily life

๐Ÿ’› This is what your donations make possible

โณ๐Ÿ’™ We are in the final stretch

Today has been incredible and it is all because of this community

But we are not done yet

Every donation from here helps push us closer to funding more life-changing service dog teams

๐Ÿ’› Letโ€™s finish strong

๐Ÿ’™ Where your donation goes ๐Ÿ‘‡

๐Ÿถ Service dog training
๐Ÿง  PTSD & anxiety task support
๐Ÿ› Public access training in real-world environments
๐Ÿค Ongoing handler support

This isnโ€™t just training a dog

Itโ€™s helping someone sleep again
Itโ€™s helping someone leave their home again
Itโ€™s helping someone rebuild their life

๐Ÿ’› One dog can change everything

๐Ÿ“ฃ A Community Update

In 2011, our Founder, Vicki Curtis, had a vision, to create a space where dogs could run freely and the community could come together. That vision became the RRUFF Dog Park, which remains the only off-leash dog park in Rocklin to this day ๐Ÿพ

Over the years, what started at the park grew into something even bigger.

As our mission expanded, so did our impact through RRUFF Healing Heroes, supporting veterans, first responders by funding service dog training - One Hero and One Dog at a Time. โค๏ธ

At the same time, the City of Rocklin has gradually taken on more responsibility for the dog park. Today, our role has shifted to supporting weekend maintenance and caring for the special needs area, while continuing to stay connected to the place that started it all.

As this next chapter begins, starting June 1st, Rocklin Parks & Recreation will officially take over full operations of the dog park.

And donโ€™t worry, youโ€™ll still see us around. Weโ€™ll continue to host community events, participate in park clean-up days, and remain part of this incredible community ๐Ÿถ

Because of this transition, weโ€™ll be consolidating our Facebook presence, and this page will no longer be active.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Going forward, all updates, including events, impact stories, and ways to get involved, will live on our main page:
RRUFF Healing Heroes

From the dog park to Healing Heroes, thank you for being part of our journey ๐Ÿ’™
