In celebration of National Composites Week, we reflect back on how honored we were to be part of the local space shuttle program.

Matrix Composites produced composite components for the Space Shuttle and supported its return-to-flight between the years 2002 and 2007. Our team was extremely excited to receive a VIP tour in 2006 and actually see our parts installed on the shuttle.

It’s not every day you get treated to a personal walk-down of the Vehicle Assembly Building, Launch Pad 39A, and the Space Shuttle Discovery!
