Wishing for healing and peace for all those who mourn a fallen hero. May you find solace in their noble sacrifice. May we come together, regardless of background, to remember those who fought for our freedoms and gave all in doing so.

Thank you, Sheriff Lemma, for your support and endorsement. I am proud to stand with you, your deputies and fellow law enforcement officers in service to this community.

"I am proud to support William Scheiner in his campaign to become the next State Attorney for the 18th Judicial Circuit of Florida. William has used his personal life experiences to become a well-respected and incredibly successful prosecutor. He understands the issues that are facing our community, and the important intersection when the issues involve the criminal justice system. I am confident that he will continue to uphold the integrity of the office, hold offenders accountable, and will be a great partner to law enforcement agencies throughout the Circuit."

Fentanyl is an extremely dangerous drug that is killing loved ones at a devastating rate. Today I had the honor of being present as Governor Desantis signed into law 2 bills that will help combat this scourge on our communities and one announcement of funding that will go a long way towards saving lives.

As was pointed out today by Sheriff Lemma and Governor Desantis, this epidemic requires attention from every angle. Prevention, education, rehabilitation and punishment. Today’s actions demonstrate the commitment to the citizens of this great state and provides the tools for law enforcement, prosecutors, doctors, addicts and family members to address this epidemic. This common sense approach will go a long way towards saving lives.

Friday afternoon I had the pleasure of attending the dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony for the Justice James E.C. Perry building. Justice Perry was appointed as the 85th Florida Supreme Court Justice on May 11, 2009 after serving as a Circuit Court Judge in Seminole County from 2000-2009. Justice Perry retired in December of 2016.

This new building is home to the offices of State Attorney, Public Defender, Clerk of Courts and Sheriff and will serve the citizens of Seminole County for years to come.

The State Attorney’s Office partnered with the Children's Advocacy Center of Brevard to plant pinwheels outside of the Viera and Titusville State Attorney’s Offices.

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month and pinwheels are a reminder of the carefree and whimsical childhood all children deserve.

An exciting start to the day for me and the girls. We met up with Revving Up Change and The Bill DeMott for breakfast this morning following the Ralph Napoli memorial ride. These 2 men have turned their personal tragedies into triumph. Spreading the messages about safe driving in an effort to stop drunk, distracted and reckless driving. Dom and Bill, thank you for putting your story out there for all to hear. These are the rewards of being a prosecutor, helping others on their worst days. I am blessed to call you both friends.
