JOB DESCRIPTION
Work under the supervision of the Director. Provide great leadership skill and knowledge to the teacher’s assistant and the children.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The teacher shall demonstrate the skill and competence necessary to assume direct responsibility for childcare including but not limited to; skills to help children meet their developmental and emotional needs; planning, directing, and conducting programs that meet the children’s basic needs. Be willing to participate in ongoing in-service training related to the specific needs of the children served.
The teacher shall be able to contribute to each child’s physical, intellectual, personal, emotional, and social development. Maintaining emotional maturity when working with the children, cooperating with the purposes and services of the program: respect for children and parents or guardians, physical and mental health that do not interfere with childcare responsibilities; good personal hygiene.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Early Childhood teacher should be at least 19 years of age, have a high school diploma or (GED). Sixty semester hours (or 90 quarter hours) of credits from an accredited college or university with six semester or nine quarter hours in courses related directly to child care and or child development, from birth to age five.
Experience
At least 2 years of work experience with children in a teaching capacity.

PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS
Must be able to play with the children inside and outside
