We’re grateful for partners who find creative ways to support neighbors in need.
Through Chick-fil-A Rockford’s Gallons for Hope campaign, enough was raised to help provide the equivalent of 1,100 meals for guests at the Mission—surpassing the original goal of 750 meals.
At $2.44 to provide a meal, support like this helps meet practical, everyday needs for people experiencing homelessness and hardship in our community. Thank you to Chick-fil-A Rockford and everyone who participated. We’re grateful for support that helps care for our guests in meaningful ways.

We welcomed pastors and church leaders from many of our church partners for a breakfast at the Mission.
We shared a meal together, heard from Jerald, a resident in our Life Recovery Program, about his journey, and spent time learning from Dr. Kevin Ellers as he encouraged pastors to care for themselves while caring for others.
Many guests also joined us for a tour of the Mission and time together in conversation.
To the churches and leaders who faithfully support the Mission through prayer, service, and partnership—thank you. We’re grateful to serve our community alongside you.

A quick shout-out to Stockholm Inn for hosting Rockford Rescue Mission placemats in their restaurant through this weekend!
It’s a fun way to share the Mission with the community, and we’re grateful for partners who help tell the story of hope and life change happening every day.

This year, the team at Owens Corning heard something that stuck with them: one of the Mission’s greatest ongoing needs is toilet paper.
After hearing from staff about the everyday essentials needed to care for guests, Owens Corning employees stepped up in a big way—collecting and donating over 1,800 rolls of toilet paper for the Mission!
It may seem simple, but with more than 18,000 rolls used each year, donations like this help meet a very real need for the men, women, and children staying in our Crisis Centers and for community guests.
Thank you, Owens Corning, for listening, caring, and helping meet practical needs in such a meaningful way!
Sometimes, the most important thing you can offer someone is a safe place to finally be honest. Rick Meyer—counselor, pastor, and longtime Mission volunteer—joins us on The Way Home to talk about trauma, counseling, compassion, and what happens when someone begins opening up for the first time.
This episode offers an honest look into the deeper work of recovery and the patience it takes to walk with people toward healing.

Last month, Rockford Rescue Mission provided 4,121 nights of shelter.
Behind that number are men, women, and children who experienced safety, warmth, and compassionate care when they needed it most.
Because of your support, shelter becomes more than a place to stay. It becomes a place where healing can begin.
