A round of applause goes to the film crew at the Long Beach Polytechnic High School Fresh Films Weekly program site in Long Beach, CA. for winning the West Region’s Audience Choice Award with their comedy short, “The Director” in last week’s Fresh Films Coast to Coast Film Festival.
Synopsis: An understudy lands a big role working with a legendary director, only to find himself in an absurd scenario acting out a nonsensical script.
"The Director" is one of 40 short films made by young creators nationwide, each serving as the final capstone project of the Fresh Films Weekly filmmaking program.

Congrats to our filmmakers at YWCA Quad Cities Rock Island, the Fresh Films Weekly program site in Rock Island, Ill., won the Midwest Region’s Audience Choice Award in last week’s Fresh Films Coast to Coast Film Festival with their comedy short, “Road Trippin’.”
Synopsis: Three friends face the harsh realities of road tripping: stinky snacks, endless bickering, and crazed foes.
The film is one of 40 shorts produced by Fresh Films Weekly program creators for their capstone project.

Shout out to the Fresh Films Weekly film crew at the Georgia Gwinnett College program site in Lawrenceville, GA. Their short comedy "This is a Disaster" took home the Audience Choice Award for the Southeast Region at last week's Fresh Films Coast to Coast Film Festival!
Synopsis: When college student Trevor is forced out of his studying hyper-focus, he’s faced with the disgusting state of his dorm room. When he tries to tidy up, his messy room puts him in his place instead.
"This is a Disaster" is among 40 short films created by youth filmmakers across the country as the capstone project of the Fresh Films Weekly filmmaking program.

Congratulations to the young creators at the Best Buy Teen Tech Center at Phase 4 Learning Center in Pittsburgh, PA. Their comedic short film, “Fortune Favors the Hungry,” earned the East Coast Region’s Audience Choice Award in last week’s Fresh Films Coast to Coast Film Festival!
Synopsis: A chill night of Chinese takeout devolves into chaos for three friends after receiving strange fortune cookies with possibly nefarious intentions.
This film is one of 16 shorts produced by young creators around the nation as the capstone project of the Fresh Films Weekly filmmaking program.
