Congratulations to Bricen Krashner! Bricen was a student that just completed our CNC certificate program through dual enrollment with Clover High School. Bricen completed a seven month application process and got accepted into an apprenticeship program with Siemens Energy. This scholarship is valued at $175,000 to cover tuition, books, and salary. We teach our students constantly the importance of having a competitive advantage when entering the work force. Bricen was considered the top candidate for this apprenticeship due to his Machine Tool experience here at York Tech. We could not be prouder of this young man who we know will do great things with his career!!!!

Whooooooooooooo Jacob won GOLD in cnc 3axis milling and Cody won sliver in 5 axis milling!!!!!!!!!! World SkillsUSA here we come!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the link to watch the awards ceremony tonight. It will be live starting at 4 and the awards start at 5. We competed in 3 axis milling and 5 axis milling post secondary. Hopefully we will hear South Carolina called in both!!!!

WOW!!!! we went into this competition completely blind but we have to admit this has been a great experience. We can not say enough how proud of these two guys we are. Jacob and Cody have represented York Tech with great pride and class during this trip. These two have no idea how much of an impact they have had on their instructors as well as the Machine Tool program. The passion these two have for Machine Tool is very hard to find and does not go unnoticed. Our competitions are complete and we will find out tomorrow the results. Everyone can watch the awards tomorrow starting at 5 pm. At the NLSC.skillsua page. We will post a link when it’s available tomorrow.

Here we are in Atlanta for the National SkillsUSA competition. Jacob (left) competing in 3-axis milling and Cody (right) 5-axis milling. Competing with about 200 other Machine Tool students from across the country.

We are very proud of this group of dual enrollment students that are about to graduate. They had 13 certifications between the 10 students. Some students earned the HAAS CNC Mill Operator certification as well as the NIMS CNC operator certification. They are the first students from York Tech to recieve either of these certifications. All of these students will graduate high school as well as York Tech with a certificate in the welding program as well as Machine Tool Technology. Many high school students miss out on this opportunity simply because they don’t know about it. Good luck to each and every one of you and we truly enjoyed being part of your life journey!!!!!!

💥 CONGRATULATIONS !!!! Two of our students competed in the state SkillsUSA competition for Machine Tool in Greenville this weekend. Cody for 5 axis CNC programming and Jacob for 3 axis CNC milling programming. Both of them finished in FIRST place for this event. Now they move on to the national competition in Atlanta. We are very proud of these two and they represented York Tech in a great way.
