From euth listed due to a pr*****ed uterus to becoming the sister Niko 🐶 didn’t know he needed….we are ecstatic to share this full circle moment 🥹

Last summer, the incredible team at REVS raced against the clock to save Zara (fka Honey Bee). Thanks to Rochester’s rescue advocates, a foster quickly stepped up through PCRT, giving Zara the second chance she so desperately deserved.

The best part is that none of us could have written the ending ✍🏼

Fast forward to now, and Zara’s landed in what couldn’t be a more perfect family. Mom, dad, and a past PCRT adoptee, Niko, absolutely adore Zara, and Zara them 💞

They say there’s no such thing as love at first sight, but we’re starting to question that 🤭

After everything she’s been through, watching Zara walk into a home filled with love, security, and a built-in best friend feels nothing short of magical.

Thanks to an enrichment grant from the Petfinder Foundation, Juju gets to spend his days doing what he loves most - leaping in and out of the pool, carrying around his Jolly Pets ball, and simply being a dog while he waits for his forever family.

Rescue isn't just about providing food and shelter. It's about giving dogs opportunities to play, decompress, build confidence, and experience joy during what can often be a stressful transition. Enrichment keeps their minds engaged, their bodies active, and their spirits bright.

Seeing Juju's pure happiness reminds us just how impactful these resources are for our foster dogs. Thank you, Petfinder Foundation, for helping us create moments like these and making the wait for forever a little more fun. 💙🐾

About last night...

We received a plea for help for a stray dog in desperate need of rescue. Meet Pepperoni (Roni for short). ❤️

The severe laceration encircling his entire neck appears to be an older wound but he is seeing our vet this morning so we will know more after his appt.

The finder and neighbors reported that he had allegedly been kept outside on a tie-out and was often heard crying for food and water. It appears that in an attempt to free himself, Roni suffered these devastating injuries.

💔 No dog should ever have to endure this.
Despite everything he's been through, Roni has been incredibly sweet, gentle, and grateful for every bit of love he's receiving.

🐾 He is safe.
🐾 He is receiving medical care.
🐾 He will never have to fight for survival alone again.

Don't worry, Pepperoni. We got you from here. ❤️

In the past 5-6 weeks Yogi (fka Jimbo) has blossomed into a very happy pup. From neglected and emaciated (under 35lbs) to pushing 45lbs, full of strength, tenacity, and a side of silly 💪🏻 he is now stable and healthy enough to graduate into his very own foster home.

This foster placement is needed ASAP and expected to last through mid to end August, until his adoptive family returns from their honeymoon. Heartworm treatment will be underway and fully covered.

The biggest requirement is helping Yogi stay calm and comfortable during treatment, as physical activity and stress MUST be limited for several weeks to avoid complications ❤️‍🩹

How has Jojo not found her forever home yet?! 💔

This sweet girl has been waiting so patiently, and we truly can't understand why she's still being overlooked.

Jojo has come so far since entering rescue. She's resilient, goofy, and full of personality. While she may take a little time to trust new people and situations, once you're in her circle, you're in for life. ❤️
