In recognition of Juneteenth, Adult Serivces Librarian Allison shares Brown Girl Dreaming by Jacqueline Woodson.
"I liked this book because it is so well written in an easy, but meaningful prose that encourages you to stop and reflect. It's the story of a girl growing up who is learning about her history and herself, and we have the pleasure of growing along with her. Through her poetry, we feel her struggles with growing up, prejudice, and faith."

A library employee is frantically searching through carts of books.
It switches to a view from on a bookshelf; a woman is shelving books and places them over the camera.
The library employee gets increasingly more frustrated searching.
The woman pauses to sing the alphabet before continuing to shelve books.
The angle changes to show the library employee peaking around a bookshelf to see the woman shelving and shakes their head in disbelief.
