“Timothy’s position isn’t just important to MAG or to the arts in Rochester—it will have an impact on the art world.”

Work becomes more human in the age of AI 06/10/2026

What if AI actually made work *more* human?

That's the question URochester experts are exploring — and their answer might surprise you.

Dan Keating '05S (MBA), Clinical Associate Professor of Information Systems and AI at Simon Business School, URochester, believes AI is more than a tool. It's an agent capable of uncovering unexpected connections, generating fresh ideas, and taking on repetitive cognitive tasks, allowing people to focus on higher-level thinking and creativity.

"AI can make decisions, stitch correlations together, and find novel connections," Professor Keating says. "It is not a tool; it's an agent."

Work becomes more human in the age of AI URochester experts on how AI could support care, creativity, and connection--while leaving empathy, curiosity, and judgment firmly in human hands.
