Feeling so much better today. Still congested but a lot less this afternoon. Didn’t have fever and my sense of smell seems heightened if that’s even possible. Feeling like a brand new me sans makeup 😍😍😍

I was craving sugar and John had me covered 😍😍😍 thank you for the ultimate chocolate chip cookie from Wegmans and these other goodies. I’ve had quite a few of the vitamins c packets ❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻

Getting into coherence with myself means coming back to myself. To some higher wisdom, higher existence and something I can’t find a lot of intellectual words to describe because it’s more a feeling of peace and serenity and love and acceptance and compassion. For me personally dealing with all kinds of distractions from people and technology means I have to find ways to reduce my brain’s need for dopamine hits with silly things like social numbers, chocolate, wine, texts, or playing games that often turn into small but noticeable addictions. The little addictions turn into compulsory behaviors overtime that do not contribute anything positive to my life other than that dopamine hit that my brain wants.
Getting back into coherence and back to myself usually means getting away from the little distractions and addictions for a few days just so I can feel a glimpse of that peace that I know is within me. And every time I find this space I wonder why it took me so long to get there when it was available at all times but that is a discussion for another day 😍🤣

When you change how you think of your beliefs to either empowering or disempowering a deep shift happens. You start asking questions that force you to look at your self image and you feel like you have more agency to choose your beliefs. These pics were taken in 2021. It was the second COVID summer and I vowed to myself that I wouldn’t let Covid ruin my summer like the one in 2020 when I was coping the best I could. I worked out every day for hours and had lost 30lbs, the lowest weight in my entire adult life, that my whole self image was crushed. I had body dysmorphia because I couldn’t believe I could feel so good just waking up. My body had achieved a level of coherence unknown to me. I didn’t know what size I needed at the store. I would go to the fitting rooms with sizes XS-L and would start at large and kept putting on smaller and smaller sizes. I don’t remember another time in my whole life where I wore something in XS. But there I was in some new space that I was still mentally acclimating to even though my body was already there.

I post this today as a reminder to myself and you that sometimes being in uncharted waters is what is necessary for our growth and if you are feeling off or simply anxious about the holidays or getting your to do list done, I’m here to tell you that this moment called you. It is in this moment you can choose your beliefs to be either empowering or disempowering and reframe all the limiting beliefs to whatever elevates you. You have nothing to lose other than that negative or limiting belief ❤️

I had so much during this photoshoot and not only that it’s for an amazing organization and for the benefit of local girls impacted by trauma and foster care. Fancy Frock Thrift Boutique has all donated clothing and is priced to make it accessible to all. If you’re looking for a holiday outfit this is the place to shop every Saturday 10am-6pm or by appointment. You won’t be disappointed I promise you that. The boutique was setup to support Worth More Nation organization whose mission is “Empowering Girls and Women Impacted by Foster Care or Trauma through Pageantry, Fashion and Services.” Sandy the founder of this non profit is an amazing community organizer and just an amazing person to talk with.
