Tiger Battalion would like to congratulate CDT Morrison for graduating from air assault school at Fort Benning, on June 12th!

On his biggest takeaways, Morrison says “At Air Assault School phases 1 and 2, I learned the ins and outs of the Army's rotary wing aircraft and their applications in combat, medical, and supply operations. Phase 3 was about rappelling, ending with a 90 ft rappel from a UH-60 Blackhawk. I appreciated phase 1 for the physical challenges and pressure and I loved learning about sling loads in phase 2, but rappelling in phase 3 really pushed me out of my comfort zone. It taught me to get past my fear by putting trust in myself, my equipment, my training, and my team.”

On lessons learned, Morrison says “At Air Assault, I also learned a lot from the example set by the commissioned and noncommissioned officers in my student class. They were always last to the buses, last in line for food, and shared lots of valuable knowledge and experience. Working with practiced leaders firsthand was a great reminder that being a leader isn't glamorous or comfortable. It's about sacrifice and looking out for others.”

Tiger Battalion is extremely proud of CDT Morrison and would like to say again, Congratulations CDT!

CFTX Day 3

CFTX came to a close on day 3 with advanced camp cadets returning from 2 days of STX lanes in less than favorable conditions. Cadets spent the remainder of the time conducting weapons cleaning and maintenance before heading home for some hard earned rest.

We’re extremely proud of all the cadets who took part in CFTX 2026.

Tiger Battalion conducted a few foot marches in the last week, with the most recent being an MS1/2 6 mile ruck and an MS3/4 12 mile ruck.

Ruck marching is an integral skill for the soldier as moving under load for prolonged periods of time is often critical to the mission.

We are proud to see the growth in the endurance and strength of our cadets.

Tiger Battalion had the recent pleasure of contracting CDT Chafey into the program. CDT Chafey has been acting in the new role of Master Fitness Trainer due to his commitment to exercise science and extra curricular experience. In this new role, he has been hard at work developing fitness regimens for the battalion and analyzing the effect they’ve had on our cadets AFT scores.

Additionally, our leadership labs have been turned into hands on practical modeling exercises as the weather entered colder months. These top down modeling activities allow for cadets to see a full view of larger scale operations, vital for future leaders to understand.
