Greece Rotary Club members and NYS Senator Jeremy Cooney visited Greece School District’s Early Learning Center to distribute 600 Early Learning Kits designed to empower literacy and communication skills.

Each kit is thoughtfully curated with 2 books, a journal for creative expression and imagination, alphabet cards, crayons, a pencil, and a pencil sharpener to inspire young minds. Additionally, a heartfelt letter to parents accompanies each kit, acknowledging the generous gift from Greece Rotarians, expressing gratitude for NY State Senator Cooney’s vital support with funding, and offering valuable guidance on maximizing the kits' impact with their child.

Our 2025-26 District Grant was used to purchase equipment for the Multi-Sensory Learning Environment at AutismUp in Rochester, NY. Specifically our funds were used to clean and refill the sensory foam pit, and purchase twenty new basketballs, and two new Yamaha keyboards. Pictured here are Rotarians Ray Gangarossa, Gene Noga, Amber Wilk, and Rita Garretson.

We were honored to hear from Myra Henry, President & CEO of YWCA Rochester & Monroe County, about the incredible work they’re doing in our community.

Since 1883, the YWCA has evolved from a refuge for working women into a powerhouse of support—offering emergency & long-term housing, health & wellness coordination, domestic violence services, and workforce readiness programs.

Her message aligns beautifully with Greece Rotary’s mission to combat homelessness and uplift families. Together, we’re building a stronger Monroe County. 💙
