The Monroe County Law Enforcement Association (MCLEA) is a labor organization representing Monroe County Sheriff's Court Deputies. MCLEA will be holding a volleyball/dodgeball tournament to benefit Challenger Miracle Field of Greater Rochester. Registration starts at 10am, Games will be held 10:30am-4pm. It will be held indoors at Hot Shots Volleyball located at 1046 University Ave, Rochester, NY

Challenger Miracle Field will provide children and adults with developmental, physical, or intellectual disabilities a barrier-free, safe, accessible place to experience the health benefits and joy of play through baseball, other team sports, and adaptive recreational equipment. The field will welcome challenged athletes from the Greater Rochester Area, Special Olympians, wheelchair athletes, visually impaired athletes, and Wounded Warriors and veterans. The field will include a versatile, completely flat, cushioned, synthetic surface. Designed primarily as a baseball field, it will also have a removable outfield fence to accommodate larger field sports such as soccer and flag football. It will provide a safe surface for wheelchairs, crutches, walkers and assistive devices. Miracle Field is also building an ADA-approved play space adjacent to the field; the only one of its kind in the county. It will have ramps and transfer points through playground for children of all abilities to engage. Typically developing children will be able to play alongside those with disabilities. This play space will become a truly inclusive playground for all. So joins us in some fun in the sand to make sure every child and adult, no matter the ability, has the opportunity to play a sport they love!
