The Busboys Collection
Busboys is the classic bus preservation endeavor of the Holter family, headed by brothers Dan and Stan
Another movie star in the mix of our vintage fleet is headed off for a month to play a small role in a true story, Civil Rights era film, starring Mark Wahlberg. Don't expect Mark to be seen behind the wheel of this bus 😉, but we're looking forward to seeing the final product of what sounds like a great story .

It's hard to believe it's already been 5yrs since we resurrected this ole gem, (1948 GM PD3751-1588) up in Northern MN after it had been sitting neglected in a remote field for more than 10yrs already even at that point. After a couple days with a team of volunteers, (thanks to Scott Crosby, Phil Epstein, Jon Beckstrom & others) we got it running after freeing up some injectors and other items, then drove it 30 miles to the Greyhound Museum in Hibbing, MN for temporary storage. We intended to bring it home the next summer, but covid hit and everything just got put on the back burner, so temporary turned into, when are we going to have time to go get it? 🤪
We finally made a plan to bring it home to assess its future, and though we had it running once before, rather than chance any issues after sitting again, we chose to haul it home to work on it in our own shop to eliminate any chance of road failures. So thanks to JD Dickenson, owner of C&J Bus Repair with his big rig, we brought it home for more revitalizing.

Changing of the Guard
Today was an exciting day at the Busboys Collection Museum as we added another historic Scenicruiser to our vintage fleet for preservation. VIN #822, a 1956 GM PD-4501 Scenicruiser, originally delivered to the Florida Greyhound Lines division in Jacksonville, FL in February of 1956. Thru its life with Greyhound, this is one of many that was later converted to a Combo for both cargo and passenger services.
Long time friend and avid bus enthusiast, John Hotvet, turned his beloved coach over to us here at the Busboys to start its next journey to unknown destinations to be shared with the public, to enjoy our industries history of transportation.
Thank you John for your gracious donation and your interest in preservation!

We're attending the "Little Log House Pioneer Village" event again this year just South of Hastings, MN, with a few buses from our vintage fleet. One of our favorite events of the year, full of historic items for the public to explore, appreciate and reminisce the good ole days. 🙂
