Over the holidays, we hit pause on purpose.
Each year, we close the Makeway office to step away from the work and make space for what fuels it. Time to reflect on the year behind us. Time with family and friends. Time spent traveling, staying home, unplugging, and resetting.
We do this because meaningful creative work doesn’t come from burnout, it comes from people who are rested, grounded, and fully present.

How do we define success at Makeway?
It’s not the number of launches, the size of a project, or even how many awards it wins (though we’ve collected more than a few).
For us, success happens when we identify the right solution for the right client. When the work reflects who they are. When their website finally feels like the energy of their organization: clear, confident, and true to their mission.
That moment when a client says, “This feels like us”…
That’s the win.
Because at the end of the day, our job isn’t just to create digital experiences; it’s to make way for our clients to step forward with the confidence that the solution we created is going to make an impact.

When Makeway went fully remote in 2021, we knew one thing: human connection couldn’t get lost.
So we made it a priority to show up for all-hands, virtual parties, and the real-life moments that keep us connected across cities and time zones.
Earlier this year, our team came together in Phoenix to reconnect and strengthen our bond. What stood out wasn’t just the ideas we shared, but the reminder of who we are: people passionate about making an impact, and doing it with authenticity and kindness.
