These first days with a new baby are about so much more than tiny fingers and sleepy smiles.
They're about a little boy becoming a big brother.
The way he checks on her.
The stories they read together.
The kisses, curiosity, and moments in between.
Years from now, I don't think these photos will be special because of how small she was.
I think they'll be special because they captured how this family felt when she first came home.
The sunlight in the nursery, the dog nearby, parents completely in love, and a little boy already stepping into his new role.
And that's my favorite part of lifestyle newborn photography.
Not only the newborn, but the whole story.

Spring is here! And my baby boy is 3 today! 🌸3️⃣ my children are THE most impossible to take photos of of anyone I know or have worked with😅I always get a workout in. And I may have done a head swap 😂 ready to be outside shooting more!

I never got around to posting any of my son’s bday pics. This lasted about 8 min😂 it was cold and I’m not sure I ever met a kid less interested in looking at the camera or staying still . But all the same, he’s so handsome 🥹😍🥰🎈
