My trivia page doesn’t invite much interaction, but I’m posting this here as trivia has been what’s lead me to want to evolve and use my talents and connections in more meaningful ways.

My first production, a storytelling event and fundraiser called ‘Stories from MN: We Belong,’ brought together ten presenters. Some were light, some were heavy, some were informative, all were humanizing.

I was honored that Colin Hortman, son of late Mark and Melissa Hortman, wanted to develop a story about his parents share it with a live audience for the first time this past April. It’s a story of how a kitchen scene, four days after their murder, is a beautiful demonstration of love. And how he wants to recreate their last evening together. I hope he’s doing that right now.

Today marks one year since Colin and Sophie Hortman lost their parents to political assassination. And rhubarb is now in season. Take a listen, you’ll get it.

Just finished a great dinner with Alina and Colin Hortman at Bleu Duck - so figured it’s time to share my full length You Tube video of ‘Stories from MN: We Belong.’ April 19 event at Rochester Civic Theater benefitting ACHLA & SMIILD.

This event took a lot of my energy for the two months between concept and fruition and I was on such a high…I admit it’s a bit depressing to come down from that high. When I watch this video I’m a bit embarrassed by my hyper activity!

I’ve felt especially protective of Colin and haven’t wanted to be insensitive to any vulnerability he’s shared. But he’s on board with ‘put this out to the world and the more people who hear this message, the better.’ So here it is.

Last night was Hannah and Aiden’s final trivia night at Forager. They just got married and are moving to Washington State.

This under 30 team stayed with me for my nearly five years of hosting trivia at Forager, even though the Gen X references in my content just couldn’t be kept in check. As much as I try to incorporate Gen Z content, it’s far and few between.

What I really love is how they mentioned that trivia would be their date night outing. I love how trivia connects people. That’s really I mostly get out of it all. Fostering connection. I love inadvertently being part of memories and beginnings.
