Percussion festival honors George Washington's drummer boy Percussion Rochester opened with a bang on Thursday morning. A volley of reproduction Revolutionary War muskets, over the Mt. Hope Cemetery grave site of Alexander Millener, George Washingtons personal drummer boy during the American war of independence.

Thanks, everyone, for an incredible festival!!! From the Steel Alchemy Community Steel Band, to the world premiere of Naomi Sekiya's "Night Wind" (John Beck Composition Prize winner), to last night's closing concert with Michael Burritt and NEXUS, PercROC offered so much great music and so many people turned out to experience it.
