What's on my mind today? How will all 1.4MM NAR associates work within the soon to be "new rules". Simple answer is that they won't! Some teams may need maintain revenues with fewer sales. Many less experienced agents may have some difficulty understanding the new sale...proving that they and their brokers are worth a new approach to fee collections. Etc etc.
My quick conversations with agents in New York and Florida indicate that too many agents are being left to own devices for survival. I don't necessarily believe that because most Realtors and Broker understand that they must shift to the new business model as dictated by NAR.
I have a new idea: AGENT/CEO. Work within the new system. Only change business relationships if you think you need to do so. BUT BECOME YOUR OWN CEO (Corporate abbreviation for Chief Operating Officer) Want more information? Text me...

What's on my mind are costs, expenses, fuel, housing, insurance. I found some no BS figures that are truly outrageous: Since Biden inauguration, gas is up 50% (thank you Costco); Groceries on average are up 25%; Cost of a home up 47%; Home insurance up 64%/Auto Insurance up 52%.
Thank you Mr. Biden, Mr Schumer etc.
Don't blame me do some honest research.
REAL ESTATE AGENTS. Insurance is on my mind. Specifically, errors and omissions insurance. I have been talking to a number of experienced broker/agents to discuss the so-called NAR Settlement for commissions.
I found it interesting how few of those broker/agents are certain that they have EO coverage. My experience is that most Realtor members do, indeed, carry that insurance.
So there appears to be some gaps and my suggestion is that every agent ask for a copy of their broker's coverage (Declaration Page) for their information and comfort.
And it is probably overdue for every agent to fully understand exactly what is covered and to what extent. Also, some brokers do provide some additional support coverage and you should be familiar with that information as well.
Finally, most broker/owners spend quite bit for EO coverage among others...I refer this expense as "forgotten" as we don't care about it until we need it.
Check it out.
