PSA— mowers created from 1990-2015 were a whole new level of quality compared to those 2019 and beyond. 2016-2018 were decently made. Before you decide to toss away your old machine to “upgrade” to a new machine—think twice. You’re not only downgrading based on quality of build, but lack of power also. Keep your older machine running if you can—you’ll never find another one built better than what you have now!

It’s that time of the year where we shuck those snowy thoughts (or lack there of) and shift towards the greener side of life. March 1st is the general date where I shift to scheduling mowers and tillers to get those blades sharp, oil and air filter changed and clean out any of those nasty mouse nests that were made over the winter in your lawnmower (yuck)! If you’d like a spring tune-up, feel free to reach out @ 651-373-2301 after March 1st and I’ll be happy to get you added to the calendar.

** March 1st falls a Friday this year and I happen to be out of town that day — but if you leave a message on the 1st I will get back to you the 4th, 5th or 6th (depending on the amount of calls) to make sure you’re scheduled and ahead of the spring rush!

**** Pressure washers usually begin late April when I’m able to turn the water back on for the year.

MAINTENCE TIP: Thank you to everyone who allowed me to prep their machines for Winter, with the warm weather I’m finally slowing down some and have a moment to post something on here. 18-20 hour days hasn’t allowed much time for social media.

With warm weather approaching and little to no snow predicted for Feb—DONT forget about your snowblowers. If it’s been sitting with fuel in it ready to go for awhile — get it out and fire it up this weekend since the weather will be nice. Even if you’re using Non-oxy fuel (which I hope you all are), it may be summer blend fuel from when you were using your lawnmower. Cycle it through and don’t let it sit in your carburetor getting stale.

Highly highly highly recommend using Startron Enzyme treatment to stabilize and prevent phase separation in sitting fuel. 1 cap in each tank gives superior protection. Running your machine 10 minutes once a month will keep it fresh and ready to go!

We’ve lived here long enough to know March and April “can” bring some brutal snow! Keep your machine ready to go just in case! There’s nothing worse than it not starting the moment it’s called in for the game!

The switch has occurred and it’s no joke! On April 1st lawn equipment has begun being serviced and we have have said goodbye or “good riddance” to the snowblower after this crazy winter! If you plan to get a spring tune up, don’t wait too long April is filling up fast but plenty of spots in May are open also! We welcome the green grass that’s been hiding for so long I’m sure!

It was a whirlwind of a year (2022). We closed Robbinsdale Marine and I opened Robbinsdale Mobile on Memorial Day Weekend. With your help, I was successfully able to keep 1,489 machines up and running. Many long days and late nights were spent working but a huge THANK YOU to all of you who allowed me to service your needs! I’ve already begun scheduling lawnmowers for April and May (waiting on the weather for March before I decide to take in a bunch of mowers as we may still be in snow season with that crazy winter).

Completely lubricated and fine tuned to operate as it should (Tuned-up) $99.95. Belts and cables good and adjusted properly. Tires in great shape. Has spark shear pins in the dash.

Do you own a pressure washer? Have you stored it properly for winter? With our last nice week of weather before freezing temps come upon us, it’s time to make sure that it is ready to store so that it starts up and works next spring!

Start with hooking up the hose (never run it without water going through the pump) and running the fuel out of it you don’t need to have the wand hooked up to run it. Try to get most of the gas out prior to starting it up with a Turkey Basted or a fuel pump but leave enough in it to start it and run it several minutes. Then, add 1/2 cap of StarTron to the fuel and run the engine until it runs out of fuel. If you have a choke, choke it and start it again. If you have a primer, prime it several times as it’s running out of fuel to force the the rest of the fuel through.

Then disconnect your hose and attach your pump saver. Follow the instructions on the can. This will force antifreeze through the pump and get all the water out so that it won’t freeze up and damage the pump in the winter. Then you’re all set for storage!

Hello everyone—it’s been a crazy summer and fall so far!! I’ve had the pleasure of meeting so many wonderful people and continuing service to many whom I saw previously at Robbinsdale Marine. It’s been so busy I haven’t had time for Facebook and updates. I am already booking for the last week of November/first week of December for snowblowers. Remember, if you plan to get your machine serviced I can only run about 6-8 machines daily as snowblowers can take 1.5-2 hrs each! I still do same day turn around on about 95% of most machines and no real snowfall is predicted until mid December at this point. There is still time to get your stuff in and out before those heavy snowfalls! 🙂

Hello everyone. For the past 12 years in the Minneapolis region I have serviced many people's machine on my own. Now I, Stephen Bradley, am officially doing this full-time as a mobile tech that comes to you for outdoor power equipment needs.
