A special thank you to the Keystone State Literacy Association – Blair Bedford Unit for providing activity books to our community to support summer learning! Their generosity helps encourage reading, learning, and literacy growth throughout the summer months. A basket of assorted books and crayons is available on top of the kids fridge. Stop in and select one per child while supplies last.

The Keystone State Literacy Association (KSLA) is a vibrant community of educators and literacy advocates dedicated to promoting literacy and literacy education across Pennsylvania.

Snuggles & Paws for Reading 📚🐾

Looking for a paws-itively fun evening? Join us on Wednesday at 5:00 PM for Snuggles & Paws for Reading!

Come meet our friendly therapy dogs and practice your reading skills by sharing a story with a furry friend. Reading to dogs helps build confidence and makes reading extra fun!

🏠 Plus, children will create a cute dog house craft to take home.

Each week, participants will receive all the ingredients needed to make one full course meal for the week. No income restrictions. Everyone is welcome!

✅ What you need:
A Blair County Library Card is required to participate and receive your meal kit. You can sign up for free anytime at the library!

Please note: A complete meal kit will be provided when all ingredients are available. If not, individual pantry items will be offered based on availability.

Say “¡Hola!” to Spanish learning fun!

Kids can learn Spanish words and phrases through interactive games, songs, puzzles, and a friendly cartoon companion. Lessons are designed for children’s ages, interests, and learning levels, making language learning both fun and engaging.

Create your very own nature journal at the library! Participants will receive everything needed to get started, including a journal, stickers, and fun supplies to decorate and personalize your pages.

Record nature observations, sketches, leaves, flowers, favorite outdoor moments, and more while creating a keepsake inspired by the beauty of the outdoors. 🌿📖

Join us for this creative and relaxing activity!

The library has a fallout shelter in the basement! You can check out the fallout shelter sign on the Girard Street side of the building.

Take & Make something perfect for Father’s Day grilling season!

The kit includes a delicious BBQ spice mix from The Spice Vault — just the thing for burgers, chicken, ribs, veggies, and more.
