Why did perSUNality create Joi?

Health, as defined by the World Health Organization (WHO) since 1948, is “a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of a disease.” Yet in today’s world, there is a higher concentration on the physical and the mental aspects of health, based on the innumerable health programs and systems, tracking millions of codes in trying to treat individuals with concern about their physical and/ or mental health. Additionally, the pharma industry has developed billions of medications towards “the management of health”, and little by little the benefit of being able to acquire an effective health insurance covering the high cost of health management is tied to socio-economic factors so think about it: is the Social well-being aspect of health less important?

Our cross cultural and inter-disciplinary team of PerSUNality believes that Social health or the ability of individuals to form satisfying interpersonal relationships with others, along with their capability to adapt to different social situations and act appropriately in a variety of settings is as important (if not more) than other physical and mental problems from which there is great knowledge about.

Therefore, we created JOI – Joi Of Interaction, a neuron, product of our imagination that we want to implant in others through unique modes of communication, hoping to motivate people to build healthier relationships based of these key values: trust, compassion, respect, acceptance and reciprocity.
