Imagination is more than pretend play — it’s how children learn to communicate, explore emotions, and think creatively. Keeping these tips in mind and using books as a tool in the process, we can help children build imaginative skills that support them far beyond childhood 📚✨

Research is strongest when every community has a seat at the table.

Proud to see Dr. Brittany Howell recognized for her work ensuring that mothers and infants from rural communities are represented in child development research. Through our lab, we're committed to building partnerships, fostering trust, and advancing science that reflects the experiences of all families.

🐣Looking to raise a confident little talker but not sure where to start? You don’t have to overthink it. According to science, your baby’s brain is primed to join in on conversation from the moment they’re born.

Check out this comic by cartoonist Navied Mahdavian where he illustrates advice from Roger Harrison, a child phsycologist at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia; Jessica Rolph, a mom of 3 and the CEO of the early childhood development company Lovevery; and Amelia Bachleda, director of outreach and education at the Institue for Learning and Brain Sciences.
