One of Roanoke's oldest buildings named Virginia state landmark Two centuries later, a farmhouse that is possibly the oldest surviving building in Roanoke has a new distinction before it's turned into a coffee shop.

Thanks Hello Roanoke for this beauty! We suffered a massive fire with our other business, nokevanco , which unexpectedly stopped the coffee shop work. We love our neighbors and all of your continued interest and support!

Then & Now: Work on Fishburn Park coffee shop picks up again following fire that destroyed owners’ van company Keri and Justin VanBlaricom hope to open Fishburn Perk by the end of 2026.

We are open today Fishburn Perk tfrom 2-8 to supply all your Rad sugar cravings on this hot Virginia day! Maybe you just want a rad dog? A cold can of pop? A float? We can make that happen!

Today we are open from 2-7 Fishburn Perk and proceeds will go to our friends nokevanco to help them recover and restore. I will add a link to their go fund me which is using money to help employees who are not working at the moment. We love them and this is not the end. They are not quitters. It’s the end of an era! We said our grateful goodbyes to our friend, Al Anderson, historical log cabin expert and owner of Timber Works of Interest. He is leaving us with a sure foundation. 🥹 The encouragement and excitement we have received from the community each step of the way has blessed us beyond measure.
