A Severe T'Storm Watch has been issued until 9 PM across the entire viewing area. Clusters of storms will likely develop bringing a damaging wind threat. Isolated large hail could be possible as well. Make sure to have multiple ways to get warnings today.

Storm development will occur late this afternoon and persist into the evening with swaths of damaging winds possible across southwest & central Virginia. A Severe T'Storm Watch is looking likely.

A cold front will arrive later today bringing scattered showers and storms during the late afternoon to evening hours. Some storms may be on the strong to severe side. A Slight Risk (2/5) is outlined over the entire are for the main threat of damaging wind gusts.
Make sure to have multiple ways to get warnings.

It will be very hot again today with highs soaring into the 90s. A Heat Advisory will be in effect east of the Blue Ridge for heat index values up to 105°.
With this high heat that is well above average, some records may be tied or broken.

Good Friday morning! It's a warm start to the day with 6 AM temperatures in the 60s and 70s. It will warm up quickly by the afternoon into the 90s.

It is hot and humid today with highs climbing into the upper 80s to mid 90s. The humidity present will increase those heat index values to the lower 100s across the east.
There is also the chance for severe storms later in the afternoon to pay attention to. A Slight Risk (2/5) is outlined over a portion of region. Not everyone is going to see severe weather or even a storm. However, any storm that does form, may bring strong winds, hail, and heavy rain. The time frame will be about 4-10 PM.
Have multiple ways to receive warnings today, stay weather aware, and keep hydrated.

Storms are back in the forecast to close out the week on Thursday and Friday. A Slight Risk (2/5) for severe weather is placed over the region on both days. Damaging winds will be main threat to watch out for. After the front passes, a dry day returns on Saturday.

It will get hot again over the next couple of days with highs in the 90s. With higher humidity present, heat index values will climb to the upper 90s (and low 100s possible over parts of Southside). Storms are possible each day before we dry out Saturday.

A Severe T'Storm Warning has been issued for a portion of Halifax co. including the town of South Boston. Wind gusts up to 60mph and 1" hail are possible as this storm tracks to the southeast.
