With Dell looking to return to private ownership with Microsoft's help. It becomes clear that Microsoft is helping Michael Dell for some future purpose. Some have speculated that it is to keep Dell loyal to the Windows brand. But I suspect there may be more to it than that. Perhaps Microsoft plans to buy Dell or partner with Dell to innovate new ways to deliver the desktop experience. Whatever the reason it will be interesting to see what comes of it.
