Tom Willard recently posted a piece professing the importance of keeping cats inside for their health and wellbeing. I can't argue with his position. Outdoor felines can wander off with a piece of your heart. Today a neighbor told me he believes that oft-pictured Alpha Major has been trapped and abducted. While I find it hard to believe he's fall from a trap, someone may be trying to make a house pet of this free spirit. They may have him mutilated. At any rate, I now face the possibility that he is gone from my life. He was a fine chum and I always made it a point of telling him goodbye on his way out, knowing that it might be the last time seriously him. He took a little piece of my heart. At least I still have the pics to remember him by. He really spruced up the Rats Nest..
