Panelist Spotlight ✨️ Teresa Rochester

A communicator with more than 25 years of experience in journalism and state government public information, Teresa Rochester is a Public Information Officer (PIO) in the Office of Crisis Communication and Public Affairs with the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES).

Since joining the department in 2024, Rochester has worked numerous activations for fires, floods, Super Bowl 2026 and the FIFA World Cup in the state’s Joint Information Center. She deployed to the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA’s) Joint Field Office in support of the 2025 LA Wildfires.
