Dice Rocked It

I took the kids to a painting class With my rock group taught by It was nice to get out of my house construction and pull my paints from storage. I haven’t been able to paint so I felt a little rusty at first but I got right into it. I can’t wait to paint more of these cute little elephants.

Yesterday I took my kids to Ponto Beach for one last trip before school starts. At South Ponto they allow you to take the beach rocks because there are just too many to maintain, so we came home with about 30 hand sized rocks to paint. On our way home we stopped by and left a rock. What a beautiful garden. It’s been on my list for awhile, I’m so glad I got to visit.

Not back just yet. We started construction 🚧 today. We had to stop midway because we found termites. Hopefully I will get back to painting regularly in July.

The last 2 weeks have been a ride, and we haven’t even started rebuilding after the flood yet. This piece was kind of an accident. I had packed away all my paint supplies and then while moving stuff I realized my alcohol inks spilled all over a few of my santorini stones. One thing led to another and I ended up putting this one together with some recent lettering. Finding the little positives in this situation has been the running theme/challenge. I’ll keep you updated on the progress. Construction says they will be done in 3 weeks but we all know that date is usually double. Fingers crossed 🤞.

Some fun kids rocks. Completely different than my typical lettering but it was a good stretch.
Most of these will be headed to The Riverside Vineyard Church for their kids Easter event on Sunday morning.

Tried a new technique. Using inktense pencils on a santorini stone.
