Congratulations to our 2026 Book to Action Storytelling Contest winner, Alyssa Lin! We appreciate your hard work and dedicated efforts put into this project!
Alyssa chose to base her project on the Lakota activist, Tillie Black Bear. Lin emphasized that continuing to talk about Black Bear’s activism even after her passing is very important because she isn’t talked about in school history books.
Stay tuned to find Alyssa’s project in Issue 3 of the Teen Zine!
