On Thursday, January 23rd, the memorial service for fallen Riverside County Deputy Timothy Corlew took place at Harvest Church in Riverside. CA. Family, friends Riverside Sheriff's Department outside agencies from all over the state and County arrived to attend the service.

Riverside City Fire Department stood over several overpasses yesterday afternoon with other agencies such as CHP and RPD to show their respect to fallen Riverside Sheriffs Deputy Timothy Corlew during the procession after the memorial service to the cemetery.
This overpass (Adam's Street) was a banner made by a Caltrans employee.

On January 21, 2025 just before 5pm, Riverside City Fire Department and CalFire RRU both received calls of a possible vegetation fire in the river bottom area between Jurupa and the Animal Control Building. Riverside City units were first on scene and observed a medium sized vegetation fire, with a moderate rate of spread in the county area closer to the Animal Control Building and moved resources that direction.

At about 8pm the fire fight was still on and the fire is at 38 acres, with night dropping helicopter assisting. Hand crews dozers.

On Friday March 1, 2024 at about 4:51pm responded to a reported structure fire at the 8600 block of Sylvan Dr. in the Arlanza neighborhood. The reporting party advised of heavy smoke coming out from the front of the house.
Upon arrival of the first due engine, have a report of fire and smoke from the front of the house.
Firefighters were able to make quick work and contain the fire to the area of origin without extension to the rest of the house.
During the operation, the Battalion Chief advised of a water main break, causing a loss in water pressure. Thankfully, the fire was already knocked down. Riverside Public Utilities responded to check the main.
At this time, the cause of the fire is under investigation and unknown how it started.

On Monday 12/11/2023 at around 9:30pm Riverside City Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire on the 4400 block of Orange street near 14th street. Firefighters remained on scene for overhaul and board up crew to arrive.

Moreno Valley: On Thursday 09/21/2023, Deputies responded to the area of the 24000 block of Alessandro reference an Assault with a Deadly Weapon call.
While investigating the ADW call, they learned that a possible suspect was on the roof of the abandoned Stater Brothers on Alessandro and Indian.
Star 9 arrived and started orbiting around the area while ground units deployed a drone to look on the roof. After several minutes, deputies went to the roof to secure the area.
Due to the circumstances, Special Enforcement Bureau responded to assume the scene. Cal Fire was called to stage in the area as a precaution. Once SEB dawned the roof, they entered the void in the roof, and they determined that the potential suspect was not there.
The scene was clear shortly before 6 pm.

On Monday 07/31/2023 at 4:25pm CalFire RRU responded to a reported structure fire on the 9000 block of Jurupa Road in Jurupa Valley. First arriving units advised of a two-story detached garage, well involved in fire and an immediate exposure to a single story structure.
Firefighters made quick work and contained the fire at 5:28pm to the second floor of the garage with no extension into additional structures.

On Monday 07/31/2023 just after 2pm, CalFire RRU and Corona Fire Department responded to several calls of a vegetation fire in the area of Indiana and Ellis in the Home Gardens neighborhood.
Upon arrival reported light flashy fuels with a moderate rate of spread. Firefighters were able to jump on the spread quickly and with the help of some recent dozer lines cut on the hill the fire was kept at 4.4 acres. Aircraft was requested but due to the weather yesterday could not fly safely. Great work by CalFire and Corona Fire.

This afternoon 07/19/2023 at about 5:30pm, the Riverside City Fire Department responded to a reported water emergency at the 8600 block of California Ave.
Upon arrival of Enigne 5, it was a reported water main break in the middle of the street, creating a large crater and buckling the asphalt. Firefighters closed California in both directions as the road was un-passable. Riverside Police also arrived to help with traffic control until Riverside Street and Public Utilities arrived to take over the scene.

Today 07/19/2023 at about 2pm. CalFire Riverside received numerous calls about a vegetation fire on Sierra Way and Karen Lane.
Upon arrival, command confirmed 1 acre, light flashy fuels with a moderate rate of spread. Several aircraft were requested, as well as mutual aid from surrounding agencies.
Fire fighters were able to stop forward progress at about 4:15pm and last update is reporting a total of 35 acres with 40% containment.
