Kepler Ranch

Our flock is producing well. 12 chicks naturally hatched and so far we have 9 hens hatched via incubator and 12 more on the way! we are collecting 60 eggs for the next giant incubation.

We have buff Orpington and Rhode Island Red Cross rooster with a mix of heritage breeds- orpingtons and giant jerseys mostly with an Easter egger and Rhode Island Red hen.

We have sexed chicks for sale, young hens for sale, and will begin having classes on chicken farming!

Winter rye overseeding had the first mow of the young grass. The field will soon be open again for rentals.

Field is Dethatched, swept, and ready for seed. The field will be closed for rentals for 4-6 weeks until winter rye is mature for activity.

It’s been hard watching my grass go dormant and yellow and cutting it so short! Field is getting ready for winter rye over seeding. We will be having a short period of the field shutting down but will be back up and running soon after.

Winter at the ranch is beautiful! Great weather, palm trees, and snow capped mountains as the backdrop. Couldn’t ask for more.
