Flippytan Furniture
We have a history of creating custom furniture. We now focus a majority of our efforts producing the Eneey Organization/Playspace Desk for LEGO collections.
Flippytan Furniture is owned and operated by husband/wife team, Don and Kiyoko DuLac. Don was raised in the rural area outside of Wichita, and Kiyoko grew up in Las Vegas, NV. They are both Army veterans, and met in the Army in 2001. They were married and had two children while Don was stationed at Fort Bragg, NC. After completing an extended tour in the Army, they were looking for somewhere wonde
Flippytan has closed shop and moved into Albuquerque. We are currently looking for a partner to manufacture the patented Eneey LEGO desk for us.

Can you imagine a place where all the LEGO is off the floor, organized, and easy to access & build with?
We have shipped a total of zero Eneey Organization Desks to the devil... just saying..

Gen 7 Eneey Pro is officially launched! This is the first production desk and it is a smooth operator.
It is 36" tall (countertop height) and sorts into 10 large trays.
I'm packing one up to ship today and will be making more next weekend to restock the Etsy page.
This Eneey Pro sells for $599, including shipping and 10 trays.
I'll also be working to update the website to represent the Gen 7 throughout.

The Gen 7 Eneey Sorting Desk has new trays and larger drop slots for faster sorting. This is the standard Eneey, with 8 trays.
Someone already bought the 10 tray Pro Eneey prototype. We hid the pending Gen 7 launch on our website in the FAQs.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
I don't have room for a two-sided desk. Is there a one-sided version?
The Gen 7 Eneey will launch by February 1, 2021 as two different single-sided desk options!
Gen 7 will be offered in the standard Eneey face dimensions with eight trays and the lower height that has been so loved by children and families.
The Gen 7 Eneey Pro will share the same base design and function as the Eneey but will have 10 sorting trays and be taller/wider. The Eneey Pro will address the frequent requests from the AFOL community and LEGO resellers for an "Adult" version of the Eneey.
It won't come with trucker girl mudflaps or be referenced in erotic novels but adults will appreciate the larger dimensions and additional capacity of the Eneey Pro.

The 8-tray Gen 7 Eneey prototype was assembled last night. It has generally the same face dimensions as Gen 6 but isn't as deep and has bins on only one side. The new bins allow for the desk to be designed with a wider chair opening and larger drop slots. This prototype should launch mostly unchanged from what is shown.
Notice that the top slot pattern is reversed from what is shown on the taller 10-tray Eneey Pro. We will modify the Pro version to match this slot pattern to reduce reach during sorting.
The Pro version will also be made a few inches taller so that it can function as a standing desk. The 8-tray standard Eneey will remain a seated desk for adults but children will obviously continue to use it while standing.
Though we understand the request, we don't intend to offer edging for the top since that can easily be accomplished by the end customer with scrap and double-sided tape.
We welcome any other suggestions for changes since we are still in the prototype phase, or if you have a better name idea than "Eneey Pro" for the 10-tray standing version. There are no marketing geniuses here!

The patented Gen 7 Eneey LEGO sorting desk prototype was assembled last night, January 1st 2021.
It works perfectly and assembled smoothly (though there is a specific sequence I'll need to capture in the instructions).
This is the 10 tray version, which I intend to market to the Professional LEGO audience and those who make income from reselling.
There will be an 8 tray version too. It will be shorter and narrower, similar to Gen 6. It will be for the original Eneey audience, families needing a way to organize a LEGO area of the playroom.
The wooden plugs shown installed in the trays will be an optional adder. They aren't needed but they look nice and will add some capacity to that portion of the respective tray.
Tray colors will be Red (as shown), Green, Blue, and Black. Clear will no longer be offered.
The laminated top will be standard on all desks. Laminate finish for the front and sides will be an optional adder. Standard will be unfinished baltic birch plywood, which will allow fans to finish their own desks as they choose.
Pricing details are not yet firm as the revised dimensions will change the shipping charges, which are included in the overall price.
Expect to see these introduced for sale through our Etsy account on our before February 1st.

Our Facebook and Etsy pages have been quiet for the last several weeks. Something we knew would eventually happen has finally come to pass. No, the world thankfully hasn't lost its love for LEGO...
The basis of design for all of our desks since the beginning, our favorite bins have been getting more difficult to find. Man, 2020 is just an abusive year, huh?
Sterilite introduced a modified, cheaper version that has more rounded corners than these older bins and those corners can allow for some LEGO escapes.
That just isn't acceptable.
We've sold all of our inventory of the Gen 6 Eneey desks and are now working on Gen 7.
What will Gen 7 offer?
Some of the most significant changes are that it will be taller, wider, and have less depth.
The biggest change is that it will be single-sided! This also means that it will hold fewer trays than the Gen 6 desk. Gen 7 will have a reduced price too.
The decision for tray brand/type has not been made yet. It would be nice to find nice woven, fabric-framed, or composite-molded baskets to better compliment the high-quality materials used to make the desks themselves. We are even considering stamped aluminum trays. If anyone has game-changing ideas for Gen 7 trays and/or a good contact for acquiring them please let us know!
It is important to us to keep the weight of each tray low since they are designed to be easily-removed and a heavy tray could hurt someone's foot if dropped.
We plan to finalize the Gen 7 design by Mid-September in order to have them available for Christmas!

Blue and white is ready! We will get the glamor shots outside tomorrow. Maybe we should have tried to get some red in there too?
