9U Hernandez’s GOATs of the Week are Dominic #41 and Isaac #11!

Dominic dominated defensively in Game 1, helping record five outs with a tag at second base and four 6–3 plays.

Isaac delivered in Game 2. With the score close in the fourth inning, he struck out batters and made key defensive plays to keep the opposing team from scoring. Later, he drove in a run with a double.

Great work, Dominic and Isaac!

Goat of the Week - 14U Williams: Ethan!

In his first week as a Goathead, Ethan made an immediate impact.

In Game 1, he made diving plays at both shortstop and second base. From the leadoff spot, he went 2-for-3, drove in two runs in a clutch situation, and stole two bases.

In Game 2, he pitched two shutout innings, allowing just one hit and one walk while striking out three. He also reached base three times and scored three runs.

The stats were impressive, but his hustle, grit and positive competitive attitude stood out just as much. He helped raise the level of the entire team in his first week in orange (well...teal).

GOAT of the Week - 12U Ortiz

Mason had quite a Sunday in his Goatheads debut for 12U Ortiz!

He collected multiple hits, scored multiple runs, and stole multiple bases. That’s a pretty good first day in orange (well...purple). Way to go, Mason!

11U Thompson earned its first 2–0 league start together with smart, selfless baseball throughout the night.

The boys executed when it mattered, had each other’s backs, and never got down on themselves. That approach helped them earn a win over a AAA team that has had their number for a while.

There's a lot to like about how this group started the fall.

13U Elebario is starting the fall season strong, winning its first two games 17–1 and 10–7.

This is only their second season together as a team, and the improvement is already easy to see. A great start to the fall for this group!

Congratulations to all of our Goatheads players representing New Mexico this weekend on USSSA All-State teams! 🧡

It's an incredible honor to represent New Mexico while wearing the Goatheads Orange and we're proud to see so many Goatheads competing with and against some of the best players in the country.

A special shoutout to Hayes Ortiz, who has been on an absolute tear with 5 home runs (and counting!) this weekend. What a performance.

We're proud of every Goathead representing our organization, their families, their local leagues, and our baseball community. Keep competing, keep having fun, and finish the weekend strong!

Another New Mexico Little League All-Star season is in the books, and what a summer it was.

One of our favorite parts each year is seeing Goatheads players represent their local Little Leagues. It was hard to miss just how many Goatheads players were representing their hometown leagues. Everywhere we looked, there was another orange or purple helmet stepping into the batter’s box, a Goathead making a play in the field, or standing on the basepaths.

This summer, our baseball and softball players represented Sunset, Paradise Hills, Eastdale, Coronado, Alameda, Cibola, and other Little Leagues across the area. Some played together, some competed against each other but that’s one of our favorite parts of All-Star season.

Goatheads is built to complement Little League, not replace it. We love seeing our players represent their hometown leagues, their teammates, and their communities. Then, when the summer ends, everyone comes back together wearing the same Goatheads jersey again.

Congratulations to every Goatheads player who earned the opportunity to play All-Star baseball or softball this summer. We’re especially proud of the Sunset 9-11 All-Stars on bringing home a state championship, and it was a lot of fun watching the Juniors matchup between Sunset and Paradise Hills with Goatheads players on both sides.

Now it’s time to turn the page to fall baseball and softball.

See you at the Goathouse. 🧡🐐
