I haven't posted work in a while but today I was doing some sketchy 💩. These guys moved to a new warehouse and these I beams were in the way of putting product on the racks. I got 3 down today and I've got about 8 more to do next week. Hanging 14' in the air while using a torch, how much more fun do you want.

The glass door will have to wait as I'm already over budget. That graphite gray pan is something else though.

Finally got these shade structures complete.

Doing big boy stuff solo today. 2"x4"x1/8"x 40'. There were awnings covering this area and now they want metal roofing. First the poles are getting cut from 10' down to 8' in the front, 8'4" in the back. 40' headers front and back. Then I'll put up 20' runners with blocking. More pics to come.

Well, we sure used and abused our little tractor. Let's see if I can fix it

We finally wrapped this one up, installed the big gate today, raised a section of block wall and replaced a broken pylaster. If it wasn't for the help I get on Saturdays I wouldn't be able to do these big jobs. Thank you Danny Lujan, Larry Smith and the extra hand today, Joshua Cordova.

It's been crazy busy this summer. Constantly out on small jobs, this bigger job has been put aside multiple times. Now I get to do the first install on it. These four panels go in Saturday. Then on to the two gates, they are almost ready for paint. I used to record bits and pieces of the process but I just forget to set the phone up anymore and wouldn't have time for editing anyways.
Maybe I'll try and hire someone again, which hasn't worked out in the past. I could really use a slow season but then I'd be stressed about not enough work. Oh well, just keep on pushing each day. Just have to remind myself, 8 maybe 10 hrs. Leave some time for family. No need to work till 10 or 11 at night. Sleep is important.
A peek at the current project.

Friday afternoon project for me and Prescilla. We pulled the lower solid doors and moved the glass ones down. Then we built some wine glass holders from 1/2" hammered square. We also made a couple of wall brackets so the boys don't tip it over.

My welding journey started with a couple of car parts that, frankly I don't think came out all that good. They worked though. I've gone away from building motors and repairing cars to just welding. I continue to try and improve my work. I watch others and listen, I learn new skills and ways every chance I get. I may put the stinger away as a profession one day but not today. I'm enjoying it too much.
