On May 7, 2024, the Society of Vacuum Coaters(SVC) will present Michael Andreasen with the prestigious Nathaniel H. Sugerman Award at SVC TechCon 2024 in Chicago.

The award was established by the SVC in 1992 to commemorate Nathaniel (Nat) Sugerman and his enduring efforts in founding, nurturing and leading the organization.

Michael is no stranger to awards - that's him receiving the Lifetime Service Award last year at SVC TechCon in Washington D.C. from past presidents Ed Wegener and Frank Zimone - but the Sugermen Award is a big one in the vacuum coating community.

Congrats to Michael on a well-deserved honor. We look forward to toasting you at the award ceremony in Chicago.
