Brigid is known for creating meaningful, hands-on learning experiences that help students connect what they learn in the classroom to the world around them. From partnering with local organizations and civic leaders to leading an after-school garden club and bringing guest speakers into her classroom, Brigid helps students see that their voices matter and that they can make a positive impact in their community.

β€œBrigid’s passion for education and commitment to creating authentic learning experiences are at the heart of everything she does,” said Principal Angie Gaub. β€œShe helps students see that learning extends far beyond the walls of the classroom.”

We are proud to celebrate Brigid and the incredible impact she continues to make on students and families every day. Congratulations, Brigid!

πŸ“š A New Read-a-Thon Milestone to Reach Together!

We are thrilled to share that we've updated our Read-a-Thon goal to $30,000 β€” and what we have planned if we get there is something truly special for our students.

If we reach $30K, we'll be hosting a **Beanstack, Books & Bites Day** to celebrate! πŸŽ‰

Our dream is to bring the **Beanstack reading program** β€” the same one used for summer reading at FVRL Libraries β€” to our school throughout the entire year. This would give our students access to fun, ongoing reading challenges and meaningful reading engagement every single month.

We'll celebrate hitting our minutes goal with **D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything And Read) time** and treats for everyone! πŸͺπŸ“–

And if our incredible community helps us surpass $30K, we'll send every student home with their very own **summer book**. 🌟

We're currently at $21,000 β€” just $9,000 away from making this a reality. Thank you for every donation, every share, and every word of encouragement. This community is truly amazing. ❀️

πŸ”¬βœ¨ What an amazing Science Night! βœ¨πŸ”¬

Last night was absolutely incredible! We were blown away by the turnout and the energy in the room. None of it would have been possible without our wonderful volunteers β€” thank you from the bottom of our hearts for giving your time and making the night such a success. We can't wait to do it all again next school year! πŸ™Œ

A huge shoutout also goes to our amazing teachers for all their hard work helping students log their reading minutes. The results speak for themselves β€” 193 students hit the 90-minute reading mark on Friday night! πŸ“š That is something to celebrate!

πŸŽ‰ And a very special congratulations to Keerat Mann in Ms. Kennedy's class, the winner of the Yoto Mini prize package! Enjoy it, Keerat β€” you earned it!

We are so excited for this week of reading and fundraising ahead. This community is truly something special. Thank you all for making moments like these possible! πŸ’™

πŸŽ‰ SNACK MONSTER UPDATE πŸŽ‰

We are BLOWN AWAY by the generosity of this incredible community! Thanks to YOUR donations, we have collected 15 boxes of snacks β€” totaling 574 snacks β€” to help fuel our amazing teachers and students! πŸŽπŸ§ƒβœ¨

It truly takes a village, and this village SHOWS UP. From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU to everyone who contributed. You are making a real difference in the lives of our kids every single day.

πŸ’› BUT WE'RE NOT DONE YET! πŸ’›

We are keeping the Snack Monster going through the END OF THE YEAR! Our goal is to make sure that no teacher or student has to worry about having the fuel they need to learn, grow, and thrive.

If you'd like to contribute, donations are ongoing and every little bit counts β€” a box of granola bars, a bag of pretzels, or any individually wrapped snack is always welcome!

Together, we are building something special. Thank you for being part of it! πŸ™Œβ€οΈ
