BHS Music Boosters

BHS band members Merryann Cook, Shelby Higgen, Audri Valencia, Brock Barraza, Christian Bolin, Marlon Gonzalo, and Nathan Neipp performed this evening with the Cerritos Honor Band, under the direction of Dr. David Betancourt. Fantastic concert!

We want to take a moment to recognize the amazing accomplishments of our very own Mrs. Amber Peterson. Last week, she was recognized as the High School Teacher of the Year. We are very lucky to have some of the best teachers in our music department!

Congrats, Mrs. Peterson, we are so proud of you!

Don’t forget, starting tomorrow evening our wonderful music department will be presenting their final concerts of the year, starting with:

BHS Bands, under the direction of Mr. Brian Cosner, performing at 6:30 pm in the Performing Arts Center.

Choirs will perform Wednesday, and Orchestras on Thursday (details to follow — watch this page!)

Many of our student performers are also supporting BHS, district, and community events. We want to thank our kids, their teachers, and the family and friends who have supported them through this year’s musical journey. Thank you to all of you who have been a part of the soundtrack for so many cultural highlights this year.

Congratulations to our Stage Band for earning a Unanimous Superior rating at the Riverside City College Jazz Festival!

“I am so proud of how well our students performed,” said Mr. Brian Cosner, band director. “This was an excellent demonstration of their abilities.”
