Still a bit giddy that the is now part of the arsenal. I’ll share some actual work with it soon, but for now it’s been fun getting to know this camera and starting to play with different setups.

What a perfect day to take a leap! Today the brand new arrived, and I couldn’t be more excited. Full frame 8K 16-bit raw, EVND+IBIS, dual PL/E mount, dual base ISO, Sony’s incredible autofocus, and so many other amazing features packed into this little beast of a cinema camera! (Okay, not that little…)

I’m biased, but the past several years with the and have been a joy, and the tools Sony creates have really been an integral part of my recent journey as a filmmaker. Today feels like a whole new chapter, and I can’t wait to get the Burano kitted out and into the field!

After surviving breast cancer, while pregnant, during the pandemic, she became determined to help create a world where everyone enjoys what they do for a living. So she’s interviewing people who love their jobs and asking them how they got there and what they learned along the way.

Speaking of AT&T, a video I helped create last year for their Virtual Care Solutions was recently awarded 2 Gold AVA Digital Awards for Directing and Marketing, plus 1 Gold Stevie Award! Can’t say or show much, but I recently had a great shoot with AT&T, highlighting one of the many cool spaces in their Dallas HQ. We put together a fantastic crew, and I even got to work with a camera setup I had been really curious about. Here I am running the Sony FX6 with Zeiss CP.3 lenses on the DJI RS2 with Tilta Advanced Ring Grip and EasyRig Minimax Stabil. Thanks to everyone involved, and here’s to many more shoots like it!

My second priority in searching for an office was a space for all my gear. And not just for storage (though I had certainly started taking over all the closets in the house) but also a place to tinker. To test camera setups and finally feel organized.

I’m extremely excited to share that I’ve finally moved out and into an actual office! It’s been a long time coming, stretching both my wife’s patience and our house’s capacity to their limits! Here are a few shots of my edit suite, which has been a ton of fun to design and decorate. There’s a lot of little details that I’m proud of, not least of which was finding a place where could take naps. This suite is fully equipped and ready for supervised sessions with clients. Let’s make something great together!

Shiren and her students were so welcoming and fun to get to know and film. I recently finished my portion of postproduction and can’t wait to see and share the final product!
