Boot flashing is designed to be used without mastic / sealant. Any time boot flashing is heavily sealed it's a red flag that the boot either leaked at some point or the roofer performed an unprofessional install.

Bathroom exhaust ducts should terminate to the exterior of the home. Ducting in attics or crawlspaces can cause excessive moisture in those spaces, which can lead to a number of issues.

Phase 2 inspections (pre-drywall) allows the inspector to call out issues that the homeowner will never see once the drywall goes up. Any plumbing or electrical should be 1 1/4 inch deep on the framing, otherwise a metal nail plate should be applied to the framing to prevent nails from puncturing the piping / electrical cables.

If the supply registers are leaving black streaks on the register or ceiling around it, it's a good sign that the airducts need to be cleaned.

Every range or stovetop should have a gas shutoff accessible in the same room as the gas appliance. Most times they are located under the counter in a cabinet, be careful not to ram stored materials into the gas line!

Using the infrared camera on supply registers, after running the heater, clearly shows if the registers are supplying air or not.

If your sink is undermount (not resting on the countertop), it's important to have mounting brackets for support.
