As the year comes to a close, we want to thank everyone who has supported the Rhinelander Skatepark Project this year. Together, we’ve built real momentum and reached several important milestones—finalizing the skatepark design with Hunger, launching our website and social media pages, beginning to accept donations, issuing a call for Northwoods skatepark muralists and installing their artwork at the future skatepark site, and hosting our first major fundraising event featuring incredible art donated by local artists.

We’re grateful for the creativity, generosity, and encouragement that continue to move this project forward, and we’re excited for what’s ahead in the coming year. Here's a little info about Hunger from their website:
Hunger Skateparks is skateboarder owned and operated, and a full service concrete skatepark design and build company. Our designs are innovative, balanced, and engaging for all styles and levels of skateboarding. We utilize building techniques that ensure long-lasting parks with low long-term maintenance. Our approach to park designing and building involves a high level of collaboration in order to develop projects unique to the community it will serve. Hunger Skateparks highest aim is not to build parks that few have the ability to enjoy, but to create balanced and creative parks that inspire a large audience. A successful park is a well-used park.

Back in September Over It & ArtStart Rhinelander collaborated with several local health organizations to integrate mental health resources into our event. We even did a 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline photo both! Did you know 988 is for more than crisis situations? Call anytime you need mental health support!

We’d like to give a big shoutout to Diel Insurance for their amazing support of the Rhinelander Skatepark Project’s Halloween Pop-up Skatepark! They generously provided the candy and let us use their parking lot to host the event during the Downtown Rhinelander Trick-or-Treat.

Thanks to their help — and to the awesome Over It youth group for lending a hand — local kids got to try out skateboarding, show off their costumes, and have a blast. We’re so grateful for the community support that makes events like this possible! 💚
